Marble bathrooms,
sculpted to measure

Bathtubs, basins and walls shaped in natural stone: twenty-eight rooms born in the Michelessi workshop in Aprilia, Italy.

The bathtub — a Michelessi vision

Inside the block,
the bath

01 From above, the onyx block: on its sawn face the golden oval of the bath shines.

02 The oval is carved already: the bath takes shape and the onyx catches fire in the beam of light.

03 The stone glows amber, the water flows in: the finished bath mirrors the round sky.

Steam
wakes the onyx

01 The dark opens on backlit onyx: the monolithic bath waits, the steam barely breathing.

02 The camera draws closer: a column of steam climbs the beam of light and the veins catch amber.

03 The water brims the bath: the surface ripples and the onyx turns to lamplight.

Vision 01 — From our drawing board

A bath of moonlight, carved from the block

CALACATTA · CARVED SOLID BLOCK · SPLIT-FACE STONE · BRASS

Design vision: monolithic bathtub carved from a single block of Calacatta marble beneath a round skylight open to the full moon, dark split-face stone walls and brass taps

A single block of Calacatta, hollowed until it became a bath: grey veins run along its flanks while the steam rises to meet the silver beam of the moon, framed by the round skylight. Around it, split-face stone walls hold the darkness and a brass tap stands guard, the one blade of warm light. This is a vision from our drawing board: the bathroom as a nocturnal observatory, where you sink into stone to watch the sky.

Vision 02 — From our drawing board

A rain of gold on glowing onyx

HONEY ONYX · BACKLIGHTING · BRASS · DARK STONE

Design vision: shower with backlit honey onyx walls glowing amber, a brass rain head releasing a rain of golden drops into the darkness

Two walls of honey onyx, lit from within, become lanterns of stone: light passes through them and kindles their clouds of amber. From the brass rain head the water falls through that glow, and every drop turns to gold before it touches the dark stone floor. This is a project born at our drawing tables: the shower no longer a room of service, but the most precious scene in the house.

The bathroom collection

The room of water,
dressed in marble

There is one room in the house where marble gives the very best of itself: the room of water. In fifty years of the trade, our experience has allowed us to create bespoke marble bathrooms of exceptional quality and great beauty: bathtubs hollowed from the solid block, washbasins sculpted from a single piece, book-matched onyx walls, showers and floors in travertine, in Calacatta, in Carrara marble. Over the years, at Michelessi, we have perfected marble-working techniques conceived precisely for extraordinary bathrooms, where precision and design are everything: falls calibrated so the water runs true, veins that continue from one slab to the next, joints and seams measured to the millimetre, in the finest tradition of Italian craftsmanship.

Before laying the first slab, we build your bathroom in three dimensions: a model that previews the final result applied to your own spaces, so you can choose materials, proportions and finishes while already seeing what is to come. The twenty-eight photographs on this page recount as many ways of understanding the bathroom: the warmth of travertine, the depth of onyx, the nocturnal elegance of black marble, the candour of Carrara, the luminous grain of quartzite. Leaf through them at your leisure, like a catalogue of atmospheres: then come and see our bespoke marble bathrooms for yourself in Aprilia, in the heart of Italy, or bring us your own project.

Modern bathroom with veined white marble wall and platform, white oval bathtub, glass shower and round mirror

Veined white marble

A White Marble Backdrop, the Bathtub Takes the Stage

There is a moment, upon entering, when the eye is drawn upward: light pours from an oculus in the ceiling and ignites the great wall of white marble, traced with grey veins that run like currents beneath the honed surface. Before it, raised on a platform of the same marble, the white oval bathtub waits in silence; around it, dark slate-toned walls recede into the wings and leave the stage entirely to the stone. The shower, enclosed by nothing but sheets of glass, opens into the material without interrupting it; a backlit niche shelters the gestures of daily life, while the round mirror, hung from a leather strap, doubles the depth of the room. This is the story of a bespoke marble bathroom as Michelessi intends it: marble work becoming architecture, a studied contrast of light and dark, the precision of Italian craftsmanship in every edge and every joint. If you desire a space like this, designed around your own rooms, we will walk with you from drawing to installation, slab after slab.

Bathroom collection sheet with Calacatta marble washbasin, Grigio Tao top, stone bathtub and shower tray

Calacatta and Grigio Tao

Frame: Calacatta Washbasin with Grigio Tao Top

Before the marble comes the drawing. On this collection page the camera lingers on the project itself: the dimensioned drawings of the Frame washbasin, assembled in Calacatta marble with a Grigio Tao top and a mosaic front inlay, customisable to your taste. Alongside, the images tell the story of the material: the squared volume of the basin rising from the dark top, the bathtub and shower tray from the same collection. Further down appear the pieces of the Baia collection: the oval bathtub in pale stone, soft as a river pebble, and the squared shower tray with its drain gathered into one corner. It is the Michelessi method in a single image: every bespoke marble bathroom is born from a precise design of dimensions, sections and proportions, before the working of the marble turns paper into matter. The artisan spirit lives here too, in the patience of the drawing and in the freedom to adapt every element to your spaces. Bring us your idea: we will study it line by line, down to the last centimetre.

Project vision: white modern bathroom with sculptural oval bathtub, double washbasin, mirrored cabinets and light marble wall

Light marble — a Michelessi vision

White Morning Light, the Sculptural Bathtub

Morning enters through full-height glazing, filtered by white curtains that turn the light into a luminous mist. At the centre, the sculptural bathtub with its slender rim opens like a chalice: its curve is the only soft line in a geometry of white planes and glass. Along the right runs the long counter of the double washbasin, crowned by mirrored cabinets that multiply the brightness; on the left, a wall of light marble accompanies the bathtub without ever raising its voice. Everything is white, yet no two whites are the same: the matt white of the tub, the gloss of the floor, the textile white of the curtains, the veined white of the stone. This is the image that opens the Michelessi bathroom collection, and it is a declaration of intent: the bespoke marble bathroom as a place of silence and light, where the working of marble — made in Italy, with unhurried care — builds a daily sense of wellbeing. We invite you to imagine your day beginning here: the water, the calm, time slowing down.

Cream travertine bathroom with glass shower, natural oak vanity and glass washbasin

Travertine

Cream Stone Bath: the Warmth of Travertine

The warm tones of cream-coloured stone wrap the room like late-afternoon light. The shower, generous and enclosed in clear glass, is lined entirely in travertine: honed surfaces shading from beige to ivory, a decorative band running at mid-height, a slatted wooden seat for granting yourself the time of water. Outside, the natural oak vanity suspended from the wall carries a glass washbasin that seems a drop of water come to rest; white towels rolled in the open compartment, the silver-framed mirror, the vase of slender branches complete a serene, welcoming scene. This is the Cream Stone Bath proposal from the Michelessi gallery: travertine worked into a stone bathroom of soft tones, where every slab is chosen and laid according to the rules of Italian craftsmanship. Bespoke work in marble and natural stone allows showers, floors and cladding to be shaped around your spaces: bring us the measurements of your bathroom and together we will build the same warmth.

Polished travertine bathroom with mosaic wall and two round washbasins on a white lacquered shelf

Travertine and mosaic

Mosaic Travertino Bath: Weaves of Light

The polished travertine floor reflects the room like still water. On the wall, a mosaic of tiny tesserae weaves the light of the lamps and returns it softened, almost woven. The white lacquered shelf crosses the scene carrying two round, full-bodied washbasins, with towels ordered in the compartment below; the shower, enclosed in slender glass, reveals the travertine cladding running unbroken to the ceiling. Every surface plays with reflection: the gloss of the floor, the satin of the mosaic, the transparency of the glass, the whiteness of the tufted pouf in the corner. This is Mosaic Travertino Bath, one of the works recounted in the Michelessi bathroom gallery: honed travertine and mosaic united in a single breath, through a way of working marble and natural stone that belongs to the finest artisan tradition. A bespoke marble bathroom like this is born of the patient pairing of materials: if you wish to bring this light into your home, we will help you choose slabs, tesserae and finishes, one by one.

Whirlpool bathtub with book-matched onyx wall in green and amber tones and brown stone surround

Book-matched onyx

Onice Spa: the Wall That Breathes

The wall is a landscape: book-matched onyx mirrors itself and draws mountains, valleys and currents in tones of green, amber and earth. Before this scenery, the oval whirlpool bathtub rests within its surround of brown stone, chromed jets ready to ripple the water. Light from the windows grazes the surface and reveals the translucency that only onyx possesses, that depth no other material can claim; a green plant leans toward the tub as if to look at itself. This is Onice Spa, among the most theatrical pages of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: here the working of marble becomes the art of book-matching, for to open a slab of onyx is to reveal its heart and double its design. Handcrafted in Italy, this wisdom lies in choosing the block, orienting the vein, composing the wall like a painting. If you dream of a bespoke stone bathroom with onyx as its protagonist, we will show you the slabs in person: every block tells a different story.

Classic bathroom in amber-toned marble with oval bathtub, solid walnut furniture and double washbasin

Amber marble

Ambra Bath: the Warm Elegance of Amber Marble

When evening falls, this bathroom glows with amber. Amber-toned marble clads the surround of the oval bathtub and turns it into a gentle bastion, while the stone floor in brown hues leads the eye toward the classic vanity in solid walnut, crowned by a marble top with golden veining and pale washbasins. The wall lights with their white shades, the lit candlesticks, the great mirrors in dark frames: every detail belongs to an elegance of another era, warm and enveloping as the light that moves through it. This is Ambra Bath, the most classical face of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: bespoke marble work wedded to traditional cabinet-making, with a devotion to detail that does not fear the passing of fashions. A marble bathroom like this asks for materials chosen with patience and laid with respect, so that every vein finds its place in the composition. If you love this warmth, we will guide you through the choice of slabs and finishes, down to the last moulding.

Contemporary washbasin in solid Carrara marble with wall-mounted tap and dark wood drawers

Solid Carrara

Carrara Sink: a Basin Carved from Solid Marble

The camera lowers until it almost touches the surface: a single volume of solid Carrara marble, hollowed into a basin whose sloping floor gathers water like the bed of a stream. Grey veins cross the surface on the diagonal, alive under the raking light; the wall-mounted tap, squared and chromed, reaches over the void with the precision of a measured gesture. Below, drawers in dark wood form the base and warm the scene; all around, the half-light lets the stone do the talking. This is Carrara Sink, the piece in the Michelessi gallery that best tells the story of functional sculpture: a washbasin of contemporary design carved from solid marble, where bespoke marble work reaches its purest degree. Italian craftsmanship here is a matter of millimetres: gradients calibrated so the water flows, crisp edges, surfaces honed with care. If you are looking for a marble washbasin unlike any other, we will design and make yours, starting from the slab you choose.

Bathroom with split-face stone wall, white bathtub on a platform, wengé wood and freestanding washbasins

Split-face stone and wengé

Wengé Bath: Stone, Wood and a White Sail

A wall of split-face stone forms the backdrop; before it, raised on a grey platform, the white bathtub with lines taut as a sail gathers all the light from the window. Pendant lamps, woven like baskets, rain from the ceiling and warm the scene; surfaces in wengé tones answer the stone wall behind, while in the foreground the white freestanding washbasins mirror one another. Pale wood underfoot, stone at the back, glossy ceramic up close: three materials living together without hierarchy, each with its own voice. This is Wengé Bath, one of the most tactile atmospheres in the Michelessi bathroom gallery: here the working of natural stone converses with wood and with the soft forms of the fixtures, in a balance that belongs to the finest Italian taste. A bespoke stone bathroom can be this too: not only polished marble, but living, rough, authentic matter. If you recognise yourself in this character, we will compose your wall together, stone by stone.

White Ice marble bathroom with Verde Guatemala marble washbasin top, orchids and bathtub with shower

White Ice and Guatemala green

White Ice Bath: Veined White and Verde Guatemala

White orchids bow over the countertop and seem to have grown from the marble itself. The bathroom is wrapped in White Ice, a pale marble crossed by soft veins that climb to the ceiling; the washbasin top, in Verde Guatemala marble, cuts through the scene with its forest depth and holds the play of reflections with the magnifying mirror and chromed taps. At the back, the bathtub with its glass screen and wall-mounted shower; beside it, the upholstered stool awaits the time of self-care. Every tone is calibrated: the veined white, the deep green, the gleam of metal, the whiteness of the folded towels. This is White Ice Bath, among the most refined pages of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: two distant marbles, united by bespoke stonework made in Italy that knows how to pair contrasts without ever forcing them. Choosing, matching, balancing: this is the craft. If you desire such a pairing for your own marble bathroom, we will show you the slab pairs in person.

Bathroom in Carrara marble and porcelain stoneware with integrated double washbasin and modern bathtub

Carrara and stoneware

Lux Bath: Carrara and Porcelain in Three Voices

Pale flowers in crystal vases, two basins carved into the countertop, the diffused light of wall lamps: the scene opens like a signature interior, but the substance is all in the material. The double washbasin counter is in Carrara marble, its front descending in a waterfall edge to the compartment where towels and ordered baskets rest; the porcelain stoneware walls in grey tones form a measured backdrop, and at the far end the modern bathtub with its raised profile waits beneath the floor-standing taps. Veined white, woven grey, the transparency of glass: a score in three voices. This is Lux Bath, one of the proposals in the Michelessi bathroom gallery where Carrara marble meets porcelain stoneware: different materials, a single coherence, made possible by bespoke marble work and artisan precision in every joint and thickness. A marble bathroom both elegant and everyday: if this is the balance you seek, we will design counters, bathtubs and cladding with you, in the proportions of your home.

Light-filled bathroom with Carrara marble tops, white lacquered furniture, mosaic floor and arched window

Carrara and white lacquer

Light Bath: a Welcoming Whiteness

At the end of the perspective, an arched window frames the green of the trees: it is the vanishing point of a bathroom that seems painted in white. Lacquered cabinetry rises to the ceiling with glass doors and shelves; Carrara marble tops carry the inset washbasins and classically drawn taps; the fine mosaic floor accompanies your steps toward the bathtub, edged in the same veined marble and sheltered by the glass of the shower with its decorative band. White cushions, folded towels, silver knobs: every detail is a note within the same harmony. This is Light Bath, the most luminous and gracious soul of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: Carrara marble and white lacquered wood, paired in the tradition of Italian craftsmanship, with bespoke marble work adapting every top, every upstand and every edge to the room that receives them. If your home asks for this serenity, we will design together a marble bathroom that truly resembles it.

Wellness area in veined antique white marble with steps, sunken bathtub and dark brown marble wall

Antique white marble

Senior White Spa: Ascending Toward the Water

You ascend toward the water as toward an altar: the staircase of antique white marble, crossed by grey veins that chase one another like slow lightning, leads to the bathtub sunk at the centre of the scene. Behind, a wall of dark brown marble offers deep counterpoint to the whiteness of the steps; at the sides, candles lit above mirrored cabinets add a warm flicker to the light descending from the lowered ceiling. Towels rolled on the edge, a magazine left open: everything invites you to stay. This is Senior White Spa, the most monumental page of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: a wellness space where bespoke marble work governs steps, floors and walls within a single design. It takes expert hands to let the veining run from one slab to the next without interruption, to reconcile risers and treads, to give the marble its proper cadence: this is the pride of the artisan workshop. If you dream of a marble spa at home, we begin with a survey of your spaces and arrive here.

Futuristic bathroom clad in dark-veined white marble with wall-hung fixtures and glass shower

Dark-veined marble

Artic Bath: Veins Like Ice in a Storm

Dark veins cross the white like cracks in ice: marble clads every surface, from floor to walls, turning the room into a block carved from within. Black-framed glass draws the shower with a thin line; wall-hung fixtures and the wall-mounted washbasin lighten the material and let it breathe; beyond the glazing, the warm light of a lamp kindles a contrast with the grey of the mineral surfaces. This is Artic Bath, the boldest soul of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: a bathroom of futuristic character entirely clad in dark-veined white marble, where installation demands the rigour of precision assembly. Bespoke marble work lets the stone's design continue from one wall to the next, and Italian craftsmanship does the rest: clean cuts, slender joints, controlled reflections. If you are looking for a marble bathroom that resembles no other, this is the direction: come and see us with the plan of your room.

Elegant bathroom in veined black marble with central bathtub, walnut furniture and glass block wall

Black marble

Black Dark Bath: Nocturnal Elegance in Black Marble

It is night beyond the white shutters, and the bathroom kindles with dark reflections. Black marble, crossed by veins like branches under the moon, clads the platform of the central bathtub and flows across the polished floor; solid walnut furniture with veined marble tops carries the inset washbasins and the amber light of the lamp; the glass block wall softens the boundaries and hints at the space beyond. A white orchid, draped pelmets at the windows, the mirror in its burnished frame: each element adds a note to a nocturnal, enveloping elegance. This is Black Dark Bath, the deepest page of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: black marble worked to measure for steps, platforms and tops, in dialogue with traditional cabinet-making. Working dark marble asks for particular care: polishing governs its reflections, cutting draws its veins, installation weighs its visual presence. It is a craft of patience and exactness. If this intensity draws you, we will compose your black marble bathroom together.

Bathroom in silva marble and mosaic with gas fireplace on the bathtub edge and colourful countertop basin

Silva marble and mosaic

Silva Bath: Fire on the Edge of the Bathtub

Fire and water regard each other at close range: the gas fireplace rests on the edge of the bathtub, framed by split-face stone rising like a mountain chimney. Around it, silva marble and mosaic draw bands and frames in warm earthen tones; the floor of large slabs leads to the washbasin area, where a countertop basin in vivid colours, streaked like a sunset, surprises above the pale stone top. Beyond the threshold, the bedroom appears in the low light of its lamps: the bathroom is part of a larger story, continuing room by room. This is Silva Bath, the most scenographic page of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: stone, mosaic and fire composed into a space with an alpine soul, where bespoke marble and stone work shapes bath surrounds, frames and tops — handcrafted in Italy. This craft knows how to unite what seems distant, the warmth of flame and the coolness of stone: if you dream of a bathroom with a character this strong, let us design it together.

Ivory-toned bathroom with porcelain stoneware and walnut travertine, white bathtub and open wooden shelving

Stoneware and walnut travertine

Ivory Bath: the Quiet of Ivory Tones

Everything here speaks softly: the ivory of the walls, the band of mosaic with circular embroidery running above the bathtub, the warmth of wood returning in the pillar and in the open shelving along the side of the tub, where rolled towels and magazines tell of a serene daily life. Porcelain stoneware with delicate reflections and walnut travertine compose surfaces that resemble one another without ever repeating; the wall-hung fixture lightens the wall and serves the clarity of the whole; the glass shelf gathers the small objects of the morning. Light slides in softly, without hard shadows. This is Ivory Bath, the most intimate proposal in the Michelessi bathroom gallery: pale tones and warm materials for a bathroom that welcomes you every day, built with the same care we devote to marble in our grandest projects. The precise laying of the decorative bands, the measured pairing of stone and wood, the rigour of the joints: artisan discipline applied to the domestic scale. If you seek a luminous, serene bathroom, we start from these tones and adapt them to your home.

Luminous bathroom clad in Carrara marble with white oval bathtub and long lacquered vanity

Carrara marble

Carrara White Spa: Marble Like Polished Snow

Daylight filters through frosted glazing and settles on the Carrara marble as on polished snow. The pale slabs, traced with fine veins, clad floor and walls and draw one continuous horizon; the oval bathtub, free at the centre of the scene, gathers the brightness and returns it softened; the long lacquered vanity with its dove-grey sheen adds a warm note, suspended above the mirroring floor. White fixtures, the wall-mounted mixer, the high windows: every element serves the calm of the whole, never interrupting it. This is Carrara White Spa, one of the most luminous pages of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: Carrara marble laid full height for a space of everyday wellbeing, where bespoke marble work ensures the continuity of the veining and the precision of the joints — quietly, unmistakably made in Italy. It is the hand of the artisan that makes simple what is not simple at all. If you can imagine your day beginning in a room like this, we will help you build it: from first survey to the laying of the last slab.

Bathroom with book-matched green mountain marble wall, white square bathtub and minimal console

Verde Montagna marble

Grey Montain Bath: a Forest of Green Marble

The back wall is a forest of stone: green mountain marble, opened in a book-match, mirrors its own veining and draws dark waves that rise like smoke toward the ceiling. Before it, the white squared bathtub rests on the stone with the clarity of a gentle monolith; wooden stools, candles lit on the floor, a pale rug add the warmth of daily gestures. To the right, the minimal console carries the washbasin in an essential frame, beneath the illuminated mirror that seems to float on the veined wall; beside it, the walk-in wardrobe opens beyond the glass. This is Grey Montain Bath, among the most magnetic pages of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: book-matched marble asks that the right block be chosen, opened and composed like a diptych, and it is here that the artisan's wisdom shows itself. A green marble bathroom is a choice of character: if it resembles you, come and see us and we will leaf through the slabs together, in search of your landscape.

Contemporary bathroom in grey stone strips and slabs with suspended monolithic washbasin and open shower

Grey stone

Grey Stone Bath: Form in the Half-Light

The half-light is part of the design: grey stone, laid in strips and slabs, absorbs the light and returns it fine-grained, like a mineral fabric. The suspended washbasin, carved from a single volume of stone, crosses the wall beneath the great mirror in its burnished frame; at the back, the shower is barely distinguishable, separated only by a pane of glass, while the lamp with its ivory shade lights a circle of warmth against the deep grey. Dark ceiling beams and the small plant on the side table complete the intimate atmosphere. This is Grey Stone Bath, the most contemporary and tactile page of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: a space built entirely of grey stone, its protagonist the suspended monolithic washbasin, born of bespoke work uniting carving, calibration and finishing. It is the same gesture that guides Italian craftsmanship in our workshops: removing matter until only the form remains. If you seek a stone bathroom of essential, quiet depth, we are ready to design yours.

Modern bathroom in silver quartzite with glass shower, pedestal washbasin and light wood ceiling beams

Silver quartzite

Silver Bath: Silver Quartzite and Pale Beams

Beams of pale wood set the rhythm of the ceiling and lead the eye to the shower, enclosed in glass and floored with wooden slats, like the deck of a boat. All around, silver quartzite clads the walls with its luminous grain, made of minute reflections that change with the hour of the day; the pedestal washbasin, white and sculptural, stands against the fine mosaic of the wall; glass shelves with folded towels, dark lanterns, a low lamp beside the fixtures complete a fresh, natural scene. This is Silver Bath, among the most serene pages of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: silver quartzite worked to measure for a modern, luminous bathroom where stone and wood live in balance. Every material is chosen for how it receives the light: a sensibility that guides the working of marble and natural stone in our workshops. If you wish this freshness for your home, we will compose your stone bathroom together.

Carrara marble bathroom with shower and bathtub in a separate room clad in dark green mosaic

Carrara and green mosaic

Mosaic Green Spa: the Room of Water

Beyond the glass door there is another room, and inside that room there is water: the shower and the soft-profiled bathtub inhabit a separate space, clad in dark green mosaic that glimmers like a seabed. Two white towels hang in symmetry, almost a curtain drawn open on the daily rite. Outside, Carrara marble commands the light: the veined floor, the threshold accompanying the glazing, the pale top of the dark cabinet carrying the washbasin and classic taps, beneath the tilting oval mirror and twin lamps. This is Mosaic Green Spa, one of the most original compositions in the Michelessi bathroom gallery: the room of water enclosed in glass, Carrara marble as threshold and frame. Designing such a space means governing gradients, thicknesses and junctions between different materials: bespoke marble work, carried out with the patience of Italian craftsmanship. If the idea of a spa at home has been with you for some time, this page proves it can be done. Let us talk it through together.

Bathroom in gaya grey stone and natural oak with freestanding washbasins and gilded pendant lamps

Gaya stone and oak

Gaya Grey Bath: Grey Stone and Natural Oak

The grey of gaya stone and natural oak share the scene like two voices in reply. Great grey slabs compose the fitted wall with its niches and shelves; wood clads walls and floor and warms every reflection; light enters through the glazing and kindles the pendant lamps with their gilded stems, slender as musical instruments. In the foreground, freestanding washbasins with soft profiles face the woven seat and the round side table; at the back, the flush shower disappears into the material, discreet as it should be. This is Gaya Grey Bath, among the most contemporary pages of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: grey stone and oak composed in an essential balance, made possible by bespoke work aligning joints, niches and thicknesses to the millimetre — the same care, made in Italy, that we devote to marble. If you seek a stone bathroom of measured warmth, this pairing can become your own: come and see us with the measurements of your room.

Bathroom with veined grey Carrara marble walls, dark gaja floor and bathtub raised on a platform

Grey Carrara

Carrara Grey Bath: Currents of Grey Marble

The walls are cascades of grey Carrara marble: broad veins descending like currents, framed by the deep black of the gaja floor. Upon this score of light and dark, the rectangular bathtub rises from its dark platform in its cladding of veined marble; the shower takes the corner with glass panels and a steel column; backlit mirrors float above the suspended washbasin, before the midnight-blue wall. Tall windows carry in the daylight and let it run across the polished surfaces, multiplying it. This is Carrara Grey Bath, one of the most elegant pages of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: grey Carrara marble set against a dark floor, a contrast that asks for carefully chosen slabs and impeccable installation. Bespoke marble work lets the veining of the walls converse with the volumes of the bathtub, without interruption or blemish: the craft of the master stoneworker. If this balance of shadow and light resembles you, we will design your marble bathroom together.

Spacious bathroom in white Carrara marble with wall-hung fixtures and minimal pedestal washbasins

Carrara white

Carrara White Bathsaloon: Space That Breathes

The space opens like a salon: white Carrara marble clads walls and floor with its warm, faintly golden veining, and light crosses it from end to end without meeting an obstacle. Wall-hung fixtures and pedestal washbasins measure out the walls with an essential rhythm; black pendant lamps descend like notes on a pale stave; the mirrored band doubles the depth and captures the rest of the house. A black-and-white portrait, resting in the niche, adds the only human presence to the scene. This is Carrara White Bathsaloon, among the airiest pages of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: a white Carrara marble bathroom of minimal design, where the material is laid across great surfaces and every detail is subtracted rather than added. To achieve it takes selected slabs and bespoke marble work that leaves no margin for error: the discipline of Italian craftsmanship. If you love spaces that breathe, this is your point of departure.

Carrara marble bathroom with pink mosaic, double black ceramic washbasins and shower with mosaic niche

Carrara and pink mosaic

Mosaic Pink Bath: the Smile of Pink Mosaic

Carrara marble sets the rhythm with its decisive veining, crossing walls and floor like confident brushstrokes; the pink mosaic answers quietly, from the shower niche and from the volumes flanking the washbasin counter, with a minute sweetness that softens the whole scene. On the white shelf, the two black ceramic washbasins are the graphic counterpoint: crisp, glossy, unexpected. Lamps with grey shades, yellow flowers, towels rolled in their compartments complete an interior lively and cared for in every corner. This is Mosaic Pink Bath, one of the freshest pages of the Michelessi bathroom gallery: Carrara marble interwoven with pink mosaic, a pairing that asks for chromatic sensitivity and precision in the laying. Bespoke marble work governs the great slabs and their veining; the artisan's hand stitches the passages between materials and colours. A marble bathroom can also smile: if you seek a less solemn elegance, this path awaits you.

Modern bathroom in warm tones with quartz and stoneware, mosaic wall, freestanding basins and sunken bathtub

Quartz and stoneware

Clear Bath: Warm Tones and Turquoise Water

The turquoise water of the sunken bathtub is the only vivid colour in a room of warm tones: sand, ivory, honey. The wall of fine mosaic makes the light vibrate behind the freestanding washbasins, set like amphorae before the fitted column; the shower, generous and enclosed in decorated glass, occupies the far end beside the pale bench; high windows temper the day into an even glow, without abrupt shadows. Quartz and stoneware compose surfaces soft to the eye; porcelain and metal add their punctual reflections. This is Clear Bath, the page that ideally closes the Michelessi bathroom gallery with a promise of calm: a modern bathroom in warm tones, where materials are chosen to accompany light and water, never to impose themselves. The same attention we devote to bespoke marble work guides the pairing of quartz, stoneware and mosaic here: the method of Italian craftsmanship. If you desire a room that eases the day, let us begin here: with your measurements and your light.
