What we make
Michelessi SRL, active in the design and working of marble since 1976, has gathered over the years a remarkable experience in the field, earning a place of standing on both the Italian and the international scene. Our great strength is the ease with which you can commission bespoke, tailor-made works: bring us an idea, and we will return it to you in stone — crafted in Italy, as it has been for half a century.
We specialise in fireplaces, kitchens, bathrooms, floors, staircases and every kind of interior work; and then, out in the open, thresholds, exterior paving, tables, statues, barbecues, pools, fountains and driveways. The fourteen showcases
Indoor and outdoor
Full-thickness counters, monolithic islands, splashbacks where the vein runs on from one door to the next: the kitchen is where stone works every day, and for that reason we select and craft it with the greatest care. Indoor, outdoor, even in refractory stone: four different roads, one single craft.
Marble, onyx and travertine
Bathtubs carved from the solid block, washbasins that seem born of a single piece, onyx walls that glow when lit from behind. The bathroom is the room where marble gives its very best: we stay at your side from the choice of the slab to the three-dimensional model, before the stone is ever cut.
Fire and stone
The fireplace is the first trade of the house of Michelessi: from the linear hearth set into the wall to the grand fireplace that presides over the living room, we design and build the point around which the family gathers. Wood-burning fires, modern heating systems, stone that warms even when unlit.
Solid marble
A marble staircase does not merely lead upstairs: it crosses the house like a signature. Cantilevered steps, sinuous curves, outdoor flights in pale stone; every riser and every tread leaves our workshop already made to last for generations.
Sculpted reliefs
Weaves that look like fabric, concentric fans, waves that catch the raking light: three-dimensional walls turn a flat surface into a contemporary bas-relief. They are the point where our cutting technology meets the hand of the sculptor.
Decorations and inlays
Before installation, every important floor is laid out dry in our yard: slab beside slab, decoration beside decoration, until the design comes true. Interiors and exteriors, solid colours or inlays with golden panels: the floor is the painting you will walk on every day.
Infinity edges
The marble infinity edge, the collection channel among white pebbles, the staircase descending into the water like a sculpture: we dress pools in natural stone, chosen to withstand sun, chlorine and time without ever losing its beauty.
Facades and cladding
Ventilated facades, travertine cladding with vertical joints, thresholds, window sills and large supplies for the construction site: since 1976 we have served the building industry with the same precision we bring to a kitchen counter. Small works or entire buildings — you set the scale.
Tables, statues, details
Tables with single-slab tops, benches, fountains, statues, vases and accents that carry stone into the rooms of everyday life. These are the pieces where the veining takes the leading role: each one is unique, because unique is the slab it was born from.
Natural and sintered stones
Marbles, granites and natural stones, semi-precious stones hiding crystals within, and then the surfaces of a new generation: Dekton, Laminam, quartzes and resins, marble terrazzo. An alphabet of materials, each with its finishes, from which to choose the right letter for your project.
Modern, classic, antique
The fireplace surround is a family portrait: modern and essential, classic with its mouldings, antique like those we restore and bring back to life, or conceived to frame a painting. Every profile is born of a measured drawing and a slab chosen by hand.
Bespoke solutions
Satin metals, woods, glass and materials that converse with stone: when the project calls for it, we step beyond marble without ever stepping outside the craft. Window sills with double drip edges, out-of-standard thicknesses, technical details solved one by one: if it can be drawn, it can be made.
From Italy to Dubai
The suites where pale marble meets wood, the homes designed for those who will live in them for a lifetime, the great Dubai site and the works of our archive: every completed project is the most honest proof of what we know how to do. Look at them: they speak for themselves.
Technology and handwork
The waterjet cut, the polishing heads, the robotic arm that caresses the slab: the most advanced technology, always guided by an eye that knows when to stop. It is here, in the Aprilia workshop, that every project passes through its moment of truth — Italian craftsmanship at work.
