Design vision: penthouse entirely clad in book-matched marble, with full-height glazing over the city lit up at night

Walls, ceiling and floor in a single marble, book-matched like the pages of an open volume; beyond the glazing, the city burning bright to the horizon. This is one of the visions of our design studio: a penthouse where the stone does not clad the space — it is the space, and the lights outside glide across the polished floor as across a lake. A dream project, drawn for those who look upon the city from above.

Design vision: grand salon with a sweeping white marble staircase and a lit fireplace framed in black marble

The staircase descends in a curve like a curtain drawing open, white against the darkened walls; across the salon, the black marble fireplace burns and fills the stone with warm reflections. This is a vision from our design studio: the grand salon told through its two oldest gestures — climbing, and lingering beside the fire. Between the two, only darkness, brass and marble.

Every project is a journey
that begins with the material

For almost fifty years, in the Aprilia workshop, Michelessi has been turning raw material into places to live. Since 1976 bespoke marble craftsmanship has been the heart of our trade: marble, natural stone, wood and steel chosen slab by slab, cut, honed and laid with the patience of Italian craftsmanship. Around this knowledge has grown a story of homes, offices, hotels and major commissions, built together with leading architects and designers, in Italy and around the world.

On this page we gather our projects, two different roads of the same journey. There is interior design, where natural stones, granites, onyxes and large formats dress interiors tailored around those who will live in them. And there is the Dubai project, carrying the quality of Italian making into the residences of the Gulf: marble interiors, outdoor kitchens and solar pergolas conceived for a new way of living in the open air. Further down, the visions around the world tell how far this journey can reach.

Leaf through the two collections like chapters of a single story: that of a family that for half a century has worked stone to perfection and carried it, project after project, into people's lives.

Six places, six project visions signed Michelessi. From Montecarlo to Miami Beach we imagine what our Aprilia workshop, at work since 1976, could bring to the world’s most prestigious residences: not delivered works, but narratives in stone — marbles chosen at the quarry, veins tuned slab by slab, light as the only stage direction.
