Quartz resin
Tundra,
Silver Mists on Quartz
Read this surface as you would read a northern sky: a deep, quiet grey crossed by white cloudings that surface like morning mist. This is Tundra quartz resin, a composite of quartz, silica sands and pigments, vacuum vibro-compacted to absolute density. Its ultra-fine grain holds the light and returns it with discretion, never a loud reflection: a material made for modern, refined spaces, from interior and exterior cladding to kitchen countertops.
Harder than granite, with virtually no water absorption, acid-resistant and antibacterial, it carries the international DIN, ASTM, ISO 9001/14000 and NSF certifications. Slabs of 305 by 140 centimetres, in 2 or 3 centimetre thickness, allow broad, continuous compositions, which Michelessi cuts and finishes to measure with the patience of true Italian craftsmanship, following your project millimetre by millimetre. Set it beside pale wood or natural stone: its low voice will bind every element of the room into a single suspended atmosphere.
