Graphite and Cream Before the Garden
The glass wall brings the garden indoors, and the kitchen receives it in measured tones: graphite grey base and tall units, a cream wall cabinet lightening the wall, pale herringbone panelling as a gentle backdrop to the working zone. Slender black pendant lamps descend, the round white table gathers the light at the centre, the pale stone-effect floor lays everything at ease. It is one of the settings on this page devoted to the Michelessi indoor kitchen collections: a project proving that greys, well measured, are anything but cold. Observe the cream cabinet above the cooking zone: a single shift of tone, and the whole wall breathes. These are the refinements that distinguish a considered design from an assembled catalogue. Michelessi seeks them in every composition, with a chromatic sensibility honed by custom marble working, where every slab has its own grey and no two are alike.
