The colour of a marble cannot be judged on a screen. That is why we send samples of the stones and finishes you are considering, so you can compare them in the real light of your room, against your floors and cabinet doors. Should you prefer, we will show you slabs and samples in our Aprilia showroom, on the Via Pontina.

Frequently asked questions
Begin with the place where you will cook, because the stone and the structure change between the two. Indoors the worktop can be marble, granite, quartzite, Dekton, Fenix or engineered quartz. Outdoors the stone has to stand up to sun, frost and rain, so granite, quartzite and sintered stone lead the way, and the fire always sits in a refractory stone structure. For both we prepare a 3D design and a free quotation.
Yes, though not every stone: granite, quartzite and sintered stone such as Dekton move from the house to the garden without reservation. Marble can go outside with some care: honed or brushed, sealed with a water-repellent treatment and ideally beneath a pergola. Engineered quartz stays indoors only, because it yellows in sunlight and marks above 150 °C. If you want a single material running from inside to outside, start from one of the first three.
Decide by where you want the stone: on the worktop alone, or on the island, its sides and the sink too. A modular kitchen starts from our Domina, Noè, Era 02 and Volo 01 models, adapted to your room, with a stone worktop shaped in our workshop; it is the route for those who want to spend sensibly. A fully bespoke kitchen is drawn from scratch around the slab, and the 3D design shows it before cutting.
Yes: every kitchen is built in Aprilia and travels to the rest of Italy and abroad. In Rome, Latina and throughout Lazio the site survey is free; elsewhere we guide you through measuring remotely, working from the dimensions and photographs you send, and the stone is cut only once the design is approved. In Italy our own team does the fitting; abroad we arrange delivery and installation, as for our project in Dubai.
At the Michelessi workshop and showroom in Aprilia, Via Pontina Km 45,350, between Rome and Latina. There you can handle the units of the Domina, Noè, Era 02 and Volo 01 modular kitchens and choose whole slabs of marble, granite, quartzite and onyx. An appointment by telephone is appreciated. If you live far away, we post samples to your home, to judge in the real light of your room, and show you the slabs by video call.
Three things are enough: the measurements of the space, even taken by hand, a few photographs of the room and an idea of the material you like. It helps to know where the water and power connections are and which appliances you have chosen. From these we prepare a 3D design and a quotation, free and without obligation; in Rome, Latina and throughout Lazio the site survey is free as well. Lead times are defined with the quotation.

Carrara marble and Nero Marquina, travertine and granite, onyx and quartz: the photographs that follow are the projects signed by our Aprilia workshop. Every slab is chosen piece by piece in our warehouse, the veining oriented just so, the worktop cut to the true measurements of your walls.
White marble
Light enters from the side, wide and calm, crossing a composition built on opposites: white lacquered base units run long and silent, dark wood wall cabinets weigh in like a beam of shadow, and between them breathes the white marble of the splashback, its fine grain rising to clothe the wall. On the counter, a few chosen objects: a wooden tray, a dark pitcher, glints of copper.
Nero Marquina
A wall entirely clad in black majolica, drinking the light like a rainy night, folds the kitchen into itself: steel shelves, jars in ordered rows, pans hanging like the instruments of an ancient trade. And at the centre of the scene advances the island in Nero Marquina marble, white veins darting across the dark ground like lightning arrested in stone.
Carrara marble
It seems to defy gravity, and in a sense it does: the great Carrara marble top stretches out cantilevered on a single slanted foot, carried by a steel structure hidden within the stone. The timber wall receives it like a casket: inside the niche, a dark-veined marble splashback frames the sink and shelves.
Carrara marble
Exposed brick on the walls, the green of the garden beyond the glazing, and between them, the kitchen itself: a U-shaped plan in which Carrara marble clothes worktops, sides and splashbacks in one continuous design, closed by sharp edges that accentuate its thickness. The peninsula reaches toward the light with its waterfall side, the grey vein descending unbroken from counter to pale stone floor.
Nero Marquina
Two glasses ready, a bottle in its tray, the lights turned low: the scene is set. The central island in Nero Marquina marble commands the room with its deep surface, crossed by pale veins that the pendant lights ignite one by one.
Brown Night marble
There are kitchens that display themselves and kitchens that reveal themselves: this one belongs to the second kind. Dark doors conceal a fitted pantry with hanging glasses and small appliances; the Brown Night marble worktop, its brown ground stirred by pale flecks like an autumn undergrowth, carries the induction hob and a sink with a sliding cover that vanishes when not needed.
Carrara marble
This kitchen was born for a fair, and it shows: everything is conceived for the sweeping glance. The immensely long Carrara marble island crosses the double-height space like a runway, grey veining rippling over white, two sinks recessed into the top.
Travertine
There is a material that tastes of Roman history and sun-warmed houses: travertine. In this kitchen from the Michelessi collection it becomes a great polished counter, warm as wet sand, flecked with its characteristic pale blooms.
Granite
It is the light of an ordinary afternoon, entering through the wooden-shuttered window and settling on the things of home. Grey granite worktops and upstand, flecked with dark crystals, trace the L of the work area: the steel hob, the sink beneath the corner window, cream doors with simple handles.
Carrara marble
Three copper bells descend from the ceiling and set the scene aglow with warm reflections: a fitted wall entirely clad in Carrara marble, grey and gold veins chasing one another inside the niche, around the shelves and along the splashback. Before it, the island plays the contrast: a base of lacquer and marble, a solid wood top that invites you to rest your elbows, two black stools in waiting.
Carrara marble
Beyond the windows lies the water, and the kitchen seems to know it: its boldly veined Carrara marble counters ruffle the white like a wind-stirred surface, while the black quartz of the alternating tops answers with the calm of a lakebed. The two-level island organises life: below, the burners and the sink; above, the marble bar where the veining grows denser and more dramatic.
Carrara marble
Morning has a home, and it is this one: ivory light, soft-toned walls, four pale wooden stools aligned before the Carrara marble island. The camera circles the central block: the top fringed with slender veins, the waterfall sides descending to the floor, the sink and the breakfast bar where the morning cups belong.
Composite stone
The great wedge-shaped island is the heart of this scene: a segment of a circle with a grey composite top, opening like a fan and gathering upholstered stools all around, ready for dinner among friends. Above, a chandelier of crystal drops; beside it, bottles in their cooler and an open magazine, as though someone had just risen.
White marble
Warm wood underfoot, the steel range with its great hood, framed white doors: this is a classic kitchen on an American scale, but the marble tells the story. Counters in white marble shaded with grey run the length of the composition and culminate in the central island, an imposing table on turned legs, with a recessed sink and veining that moves softly beneath the light of the steel lamps.
Carrara marble
Three cones of brushed steel descend over the island like spotlights on a stage, and the stage is worthy: a great Carrara marble top crossed by grey veins branching like winter boughs, with a flush-recessed sink and classic pale-metal taps. All around, the house breathes: the dining corner by the window, the wall of decorative plates, the great steel refrigerators, the corridor promising further rooms.
Granite
The island seems to rest on a point: its white base narrows toward the floor like an inverted pyramid, and upon it floats the great granite top with its thousand light and dark flakes, polished until it mirrors the steel trays set upon it. Around it, the kitchen unfolds with handleless white doors, tall units with a double oven, a lift-up wall cabinet open over the sink zone.
Carrara marble
Outside, the city switches on its lights over the water; inside, the kitchen answers with its own. LED strips run beneath the base units and along the splashback, bathing the room in a bluish glow, like a gentle spaceship.
Carrara marble
Beyond the glazing, the bare woods; before them, a block of Carrara marble as long as the room. The island is entirely clad in stone: top, sides, doors.
Granite
The close-up belongs to the chrome mixer tap with its pull-out spout, bent over the sink like a heron over water. Around it, the granite: worktop and upstand are one body, the same stone flecked with greys, blacks and beiges rising from the work surface to clothe the wall, without a seam where damp might hide.
White marble — a Michelessi vision
This is a vision from our design studio: the same dialogue between white marble and dark wood, imagined without the limits of a wall. The splashback does not stop below the cabinets — it rises to the ceiling and turns the stone into the backdrop of the whole room, while the lacquered bases stay low and silent and the dark wood weighs above like a beam of shadow. It is how we show, before the first cut, how far a well-chosen slab can go: veining that runs on with no visible joints, a top cut to the true dimensions of your wall. The step from vision to worksite is a short one — the same Aprilia workshop draws it and builds it.
Backlit onyx — a Michelessi vision
At sunset, when the terrace turns to gold, the island of this kitchen lights up like a stone lantern: its backlit onyx base lets light pass through the very material, revealing dark veins that cross the amber ground like branches against the sky. Above, the white quartz counter stays pure and practical, with its double sink and steel mixer.
Carrara marble
Some details turn a kitchen into a place of celebration. Here the camera descends onto the Carrara marble island, where golden and grey veins flow like currents beneath the honed surface, and finds twin recesses: on one side the steel sink with its arched tap, on the other a long refrigerated well brimming with ice, bottles tilted and waiting for the toast.
White marble
A block of white marble as long as the wall, grey veins sweeping across it diagonally like wind-driven clouds: this is the island of the kitchen, and it sets the tone. At its side docks the wooden counter for quick lunches, with pale slender-legged stools; behind, the fitted wall alternates white units with the dark wood of the niche, a mirrored splashback doubling the light. The open wooden staircase and grey stone wall speak of contemporary architecture; the plank floor warms it. The camera glides along the island’s front: the veining never breaks, the sign of slabs chosen and matched with patience. That is the signature of Michelessi’s bespoke marble work: making a single story out of many slabs. The project is called Marble Block Kitchen, and the name is already a promise: here marble does not decorate, it builds. With the solidity of a workshop that has done this for generations.
